Weldmar Hospicecare Trust staff get treated to a tea break

1st July 2010

The staff of Weldmar Hospicecare Trust enjoyed a visit from the Clipper Tea Revival Time team at Joseph Weld Hospice in Dorchester on Wednesday 30th June 2010 – after the Trust won an online competition.

The Dorset based tea and coffee company have been visiting businesses up and down the country, promoting their line of green teas by giving workers a tea break and reviving the overworked and dehydrated.

Clinical, administration and fundraising staff all took five minutes out of their day to learn about the health benefits of green tea combined with a short break from their work.

The visit coincided with the last day of Weldmar’s ‘Tea at 3’ campaign, which runs every June. During ‘Tea at 3’, Weldmar asked supporters to hold a tea party to help raise money towards the £2million the Trust needs to raise from the community each year to support its work with over 1000 patients .

It was also a great way to show off the new kitchen and dining area, recently added to the inpatient unit for the family, friends and carers of patients to use.

Alison Ryan, Chief Executive of Weldmar, said: “ There is nothing like a cup of tea to send you back to work refreshed and we all thoroughly enjoyed the break thanks to Clipper.”
