Golf club raises a wedge for Weldmar

In 2011, when Patrick Crane became Captain of Weymouth Golf Club he nominated Weldmar Hospicecare Trust to be his chosen charity.

Various activities took place throughout the following twelve months and by the end of his Captaincy £2,092.61 had been raised.

At a presentation recently at the Golf Club he was delighted to hand over a cheque for this amount to Caroline Nickinson, Weldmar’s Director of Fundraising.

Receiving the cheque Caroline acknowledging this most generous donation said “I would like to express the gratitude of everyone at Weldmar to the past Captain, Patrick, and to all the Club Members for this invaluable support. It is only because people like yourselves care that we are able to offer vital support to our patients and their families in their time of need. Thank you all so much”
