An update on bowel cancer treatment and palliative care

On the 16th September 2010 the Trust will hold its 20th annual medical conference at Kingston Maurward. It is 17 years since our conference last visited the subject of bowel cancer.

The conference will cover the following topics:

  • Overview of where bowel cancer treatment is today
  • Surgical approaches for bowel cancer
  • Chemotherapy for bowel cancer
  • Screening and diagnosis
  • Stoma care
  • The conservative management of bowel obstruction

As usual, our speakers will range from local talent to those used to speaking on the international stage.

The conference is for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.

The fees are:

  • £80
  • Early bird: £60 for applications received before 2nd July 2010
  • Students: £40 (university registration number required as proof)
