Every ‘Cuppa’ Counts

Throughout June, supporters of hospices across Britain will be raising cups and funds in Britain’s biggest tea party. Tea at 3 is a simple yet fun way to catch up with friends, family and colleagues whilst raising money for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

By holding a tea party you will help the lives of patients with a life-limiting illness.

Help and join us for Tea if you possibly can.

The money you raise will help with running the vital services we offer to our patients. Our dedicated doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals care for patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year offering those with life-limiting illness and their families and carers not only medical care but also practical and emotional help.

Every cuppa really counts whether you raise £10, £20, £50 or £100.

 

Getting involved could not be easier.

Ask your friends, colleagues and family to take part and hold a Tea at 3 event at work, school, village hall in your residential home, your own home or even in your garden.

• Hold a Tea Party in your own home or where you live with others around you and ask for a donation from your guests
• Encourage your colleagues at work to make a donation for their afternoon cup of tea on a dedicated day
• Take a home baked cake to work and ask your colleagues to donate for a slice
• Hold a tea party in your garden
• Hold a themed party such as a Cream Tea, Mad Hatters or ask everyone to wear something starting with ‘T’
• Ask your children’s school to hold something similar
• Hold a competition connected with Tea

To make your party even more enjoyable why not hold a small raffle or quiz or ask your guests to bring along copies of their favourite cake recipes to swap for a small extra donation. Ideas are limitless!

Remember to let people know about your event as soon as possible. Display the ‘Tea at 3’ poster which will be in your free pack together with a small supply of invitations.
