A positive way to remember a loved one
The loss of a loved one, friend or colleague is always a difficult time. By making a donation in their memory we can, with your help, offer help to those who need our special services. There are several ways to remember them and support Weldmar Hospicecare Trust at the same time.
- in memoriam donations
- creating a memorial website
- requesting donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral
- holding a collection at a funeral
In memoriam donations
These can be made by cash,cheque (made payable to Weldmar Hospicecare Trust), credit or debit card. Simply print out and complete our In Memoriam Form (PDF- 30KB).
All in memoriam donations will be acknowledged with a letter of thanks.
In lieu of flowers
Many families decide to ask for donations to Weldmar Hospicecare Trust in lieu of sending flowers for a funeral, ensuring that the loved ones is remembered in a positive way.
Family and friends can either request that donations are sent to the funeral director who, after a suitable period, forward them to us.
Alternatively, families request that they are sent directly to Weldmar Hospicecare Trust - when it is helpful to also receive the name and address of the donor together with the name of the loved one they are remembering. We can also provide special personalised donation envelopes upon request.
We acknowledge all donations and inform the next of kin of the total amount collected.
Collections
Families often decide to hold a collection in memory of their loved one at their funeral.
We can provide special in memoriam envelopes so that those attending can use them if they so wish. This allows those donating in this way to give us their contact details so that we can acknowledge their gift and, more importantly, allows them to Gift Aid their donations and increase its value to us.
We are also able to personalise these envelopes at your request with the name of your loved one together with a picture if you so wish.
