Sixty Six and Two Thirds

24th February 2010

Dave Green will be undertaking a 66.7 mile walk in 24 hours on 27th March 2010 to raise funds for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. Why sixty six and two thirds miles? That’s the age he hopes to achieve around the time of the challenge.

Twenty organisers of the ‘Dorset Giant 100km’ (24th-25th April 2010) will be walking the route to check it out before their event and Dave has decided to use this pre-event walk to undertake the challenge in memory of his sister, Annette Dering, who was cared for by Weldmar Hospicecare Trust during her struggle with cancer.

Dave will start at 9am from the Joseph Weld Hospice, Dorchester and hopes to complete the route within 24 hours.

Visit his Just Giving page on the following link http://www.justgiving.com/ROUTE-66 to enter his competition to guess how long it will take him to walk the 66.7miles.
