eBay for charity

It is now possible to use the auction website to raise money for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust when you are selling or buying items. All items being sold in this way will carry the yellow and blue ribbon icon shown here.

Buying

Selling

If you already a registered eBay seller, you can choose to donate from 10% to 100% of your final selling price (the minimum donation is £1 per listing). eBay will then reduce their listing prices by the same percentage.

It’s really simple to do – just choose ‘Advanced Sell’ when first listing and you will have the option to donate to charity as part of the process. Search and choose ‘Weldmar Hospicecare Trust’ when you reach that section – then select what proportion of the selling price you wish to donate to us.

Each item listed this way has the yellow and blue ribbon icon displayed – letting all your potential buyers know that your sale is for charity – making your item stand out from the crowd.

Each donation given this way is also able to benefit from Gift Aid (a possible increase of 28%).
