Christmas Treecycle is back this winter – book a collection for your real tree
We’re working in partnership with Trinity St. Christmas Trees
Weldmar Hospicecare is pleased to announce that they will once again be collecting and recycling real Christmas trees from across Dorset in early January 2022. In return for a minimum suggested donation of just £10, trees can be collected from home and business addresses. This will be happening between Saturday 8th and Monday 10th January.
The initiative is being supported by Trinity St. Christmas Trees. Their teams will be making the collections in Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Blandford, Bridport, Sherborne, Shaftesbury and Gillingham.
Weldmar volunteers, including a team from Magna Housing, will help with collections in Beaminster.
Fiona Hansford co-ordinates the project for Weldmar and says, “We’re so looking forward to helping the people of Dorset with their Christmas tree clear up again this year. Every tree collected means money raised for the end of life care we provide. It’s been a challenging time for fundraising over the last 18 months so this scheme is needed now more than ever.”
Tamzin Hyde from Trinity Street Christmas Trees. She says, “As a Dorset-based family business, we’re proud to be a part of the local community. We’ve always been pleased to partner with Weldmar Hospicecare whenever we can. It’s wonderful to be doing so again with Treecycle.
“Weldmar do such vital work. The Treecycle initiative helps raise thousands of pounds to help them continue to provide excellent end of life care to people in the local area. As well as supporting their families, so it is something we are delighted be involved with.”
