Dymanic Dorset Charity Seeks New Trustees!

Closing Date:  13th March, 2020

Weldmar Hospicecare is a non-profit-making charitable company limited by guarantee, supervised by a Board of non-executive Trustees, supported by the CEO and executive management team. We are now seeking to appoint additional trustees to refresh and strengthen the existing Board.

Applications are sought from people living in Dorset with one or more of the following qualities:

Last year, Weldmar Hospicecare supported more than 1200 people with end of life care in Dorset, both patients and their loved ones. Our services includes community nursing at home (which accounts for 82% of our care), our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester, and Day Services in five locations across the county.

We have specialist doctors and nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, complementary therapists, and more. We also work with families, supporting them in their caring roles, and offering bereavement counselling.

We need to raise £18,000 a day to keep these services going. This funding comes from the support of the local community via our fundraising team, charity shops and outlets, investment income, and an additional 21% from the NHS.

We employ more than 250 staff.  Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (Disclosure & Barring Service).

To apply, please forward your CV and a covering letter to recruitment@weld-hospice.org.uk or to:
