Open Gardens – Harvard Farm
Harvard Farm is open specially for Weldmar Hospicecare's 25th Anniversary.
- 29th June 2019– 12pm until 4:30pm
The 2 acre garden was created by the owners over the past 25 years from farmyards, with a mixture of more formal gardens round the house and wilder areas beyond. There are several examples of Jake Hobson’s Japanese topiary, contrasting with the traditional English garden style of planting.
How to find the garden:
About 4 miles south of Yeovil on A37 turn west to Closworth.
About a mile after Closworth the lane leading to Harvard Farm is on the right between a red post box and 2 black and white bollards.
The bollards and post box will of course be on the left if coming from the southwest across country.
Only one toilet.
Not good for disabled people, unfortunately, as there are steps, slopes, and gravel surfaces.
Plenty of parking.
Probably some plants for sale.
No dogs, but there is some shade in parking areas so they can be tied up there.
£5.00 (Also includes entry to Mulberry Farm)
This garden is part of Weldmar’s 2019 Open Garden’s Scheme.
