Exquisite new local gardening book raises funds for Weldmar
A perfect stockingfiller for this Christmas!
A gardening enthusiast and a group of local artists have joined together to create a new gardening book to raise money for Weldmar Hospicecare.
‘Thoughts From The Garden’ has been written by Christine M. David of Stratton, with illustrations from members of Stratton Art Group.
The tome includes chapters on garden design, allotments, triumphs and disasters, herbs, garden therapy, wildlife, surviving winter, and much more. It is a collection of short articles written for the local village magazine over the years.
The gardening book was officially launched at a coffee morning in the village at the weekend, raising £631. Proceeds from the event, and all profits made by the book, being sold for £10, will be spilt between Weldmar Hospicecare and Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.
Copies of ‘Thoughts From The Garden’ are available from Christine David on 01305 264593 – a perfect gift for Christmas for the gardening enthusiast in your family!
