Hospice Care Week 2016
Weldmar Hospicecare is once again taking part in Hospice Care Week – a national campaign that runs between 3rd to 9th October 2016 to raise the profile of hospice care.
This year’s theme is:
Hospice care is …
and Weldmar will be using the week to tell the story of what hospice care is in Dorset, and how it is provided.
One of the events during Hospice Care Week is an open day at Trimar Hospice in Weymouth. This will take place on Wednesday 5th October 2016, and coincides with Trimar’s 20th Anniversary. You are welcome to drop in anytime between 10am and 3pm to have a tour of the building, meet the team and discuss the services that Weldmar offers.
Weldmar would also like you to join in with the week – by showing them what ‘Hospice care is …’ to you.
Throughout the week, Weldmar will share photographs of their staff, volunteers, patients and supporters – who have used a special poster to describe what ‘Hospice care is …’ to them.
Weldmar would really like you to join in too – by downloading a Weldmar’s ‘Hospice care is’ poster (726kb) – and sending in a photograph of you holding up the poster.
To end Hospice Care Week, Weldmar is inviting everyone to take part in ‘Wacky Hair for Hospicecare’; a day where you can let your hair down, or up – or go wild – for Weldmar on Friday 7th October.
Caroline Hamblett, Chief Executive of Weldmar Hospicecare, said “We can’t wait to show you all that Weldmar Hospicecare offers to our patients, their families and loved ones during Hospice Care Week. I am also really looking forward to seeing what you all think ‘Hospice care is …’ – you can show us by downloading a poster and then adding your photos onto our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/weldmar) or Twitter feed (www.twitter.com/weldmar). And you’ll get to see me with wacky hair!”.
