How changes in Covid restrictions affect arrangements at our charity shops
We want everyone to feel welcome, and safe, from Monday 19th July
As many of us know, there are changes to Covid restrictions in England from Monday 19th July.
This means changes to arrangements at our chain of charity shops across Dorset.
If you have any questions or concerns when visiting a Weldmar charity shop or outlet, please ask to speak to the manager, who will be more than happy to help.
All of our high street shops and larger outlets have been operating reduced opening hours since the start of the pandemic. From Monday, they will all* be open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Some shops will continue to open on Sunday – find details for your local shop here.
(Swanage will be open from 9am to 7pm)
Face coverings are mandatory for staff, volunteers or customers.
We are delighted to say that changing rooms will reopen from Monday. The Refund Policy will remain unchanged at this stage for those customers who do not feel comfortable with trying on clothes in store.
This will still be available at the entrance of each shop for anyone who wants to use it.
Number of customers in the shop
From Monday, the recommended limit of the number of customers allowed in shops will be removed, although if the manager has the discretion to pause the admission of additional customers if they feel it is too crowded.
Donations, Collections, and Deliveries
Customer donations will remain at a maximum of five boxes or bags at this stage, but this will be reviewed again in due course.
Our van drivers must continue to ask you a series of questions prior to any collections and deliveries, including whether the household is symptomatic or isolating before entering.
The clear screens at the till will remain for the time being, for the safety and peace of mind of all customers, volunteers, and staff.
Thank you for your continued support by shopping with us!
