New Consulting Room
Weldmar Hospicecare receives funding to boost services for Motor Neurone Disease patients.
The West Dorset Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association recently visited Joseph Weld Hospice, Weldmar Hospicecare’s inpatient unit in Dorchester, to view the new consulting room.
The Branch has helped to fund the new room, which is being used for specialist Motor Neurone Disease clinics provided by Weldmar. In addition, the consulting room will also benefit all the patients who visit outpatient clinics and day services.
Suzy OCallaghan, Weldmar’s Assistant Director for Central Dorset, said “We are very grateful for the gift from the West Dorset Branch. We work very closely with their members, and we know that all our patients will appreciate the improved facilities”.
The room will allow Weldmar to better serve patients who have reduced mobility, or who wish to bring family members with them to the consultation.
