We recognise that the impact of life threatening illnesses affects all family members and all areas of family life including accommodation, employment, relationships, finance and the wellbeing of carers and children.
Our qualified social workers will be happy to discuss any matters or concerns that you may have for yourself or your family. They will provide you with opportunity to talk confidentially through fears, concerns, hopes and wishes. They will help explore options for the future and support you to access practical help and advice.
Our qualified counsellors provide bereavement and emotional care and support to patients and their families/significant others. This includes specialist children’s support that helps explain how children cope with grief and helps adults to talk to children about their feelings. Complementary therapies and art therapy is also available to carers and patients.
Our staff are supported by a team of carefully selected and trained volunteers.
