So what would you do to fundraise for Weldmar?
Would you be as brave as these Dorchester cricketers?
There are so many ways that you can help raise money for Weldmar Hospicecare.
We arrange many events and challenges, such as our Midnight Walk, Dog Show, Summer Fete, our overseas treks, the Great Dorset Cycle Challenge, and more.
But you don’t have to do one of our events – you can do almost anything you like to raise money! How about getting your legs waxed?
That’s exactly what brave cricketers from Dorchester have been doing this week! Members of the first team, fresh from their latest victory, had various body parts waxed and raised a brilliant £156!
Our Volunteer Ambassador Lucy Gregory visited them to do the honours.
So, what would you challenge yourself to do for Weldmar Hospicecare?
Whatever you get sponsored to do, it’ll help us care for people in Dorset in the last year of life, either in their own homes with our Community Nurses, at our Day Services sessions, or in our in-patient unit in Dorchester. We also provide care for loved ones, including bereavement support.
Whether it’s a wicked waxing, a super sponsored silence, a dazzling dance marathon, or the old classic of sitting in a bath of beans, contact firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll do what we can to support you!
