Care Quality Commission - CQC

Spiritual Care Volunteer

We are looking to expand our existing team of Spiritual Care volunteers to provide pastoral, spiritual and religious care to patients and their relatives, staff and volunteers, in accordance with their stated wishes.

This may also include ordained Spiritual Care volunteers who are able to administer last rites and communion from Anglican, Baptist and Catholic churches.

You will be an established member of a local Church or Faith Community, or belong to a recognised non-religious pastoral support network e.g. Humanists.

You may be available to support us by volunteering for an agreed number of hours per week e.g. weekly visits to patients in our Day Services/Inpatient Unit and to complete records, as directed by the Head of Operations.

As part of the Family Support Service you may also wish to participate in team meetings and contribute to specific services throughout the calendar year.

Clinical supervision and support is provided.
