Vivo Lounge donate food to Weldmar as Tier 3 forces them to close
The fresh fruit and veg will be used to provide patient and staff meals.
With Dorset moving into Tier 3 of the Covid-19 restrictions from today, it means many hospitality venues must close their doors.
Only those that can offer a takeaway service only can continue to operate.
Vivo Lounge in Dorchester has been forced to close their doors, but very kindly donated their fresh food stocks to Weldmar Hospicecare.
Eggs, greens, fresh fruit, mushrooms, and dairy products have all been sent to our Inpatient Unit.
Andy Jackson, Hotel Services Manager, said, “We told them how sorry we were for them and they said at least they knew that the stock was going to a good cause. How lovely, and lovely people too!”
And it’s with a heavy heart we have to say goodbye once again… well not goodbye but see you later!😢
