Catering Team Volunteers
There are a variety of roles available within our catering team for volunteers!
Volunteer collection drivers:
Third party suppliers (such Tesco, Lidl, Asda, Bookers, Nando’s) donate overstock of good quality foods to us. It’s green and good for environment as it repurposes good food which would otherwise go to land fill. Volunteer collection drivers pick up and deliver the overstock to the kitchens at the inpatient unit in Dorchester.

Volunteer chefs assist in the preparation and preservation of donated over stocks.
Volunteer chefs assist in the preparation and preservation of donated over stocks. Volunteers ensure that it’s the most cost efficient way to deliver the system and release Hotel Services staff back to patient services.

Volunteer Lunch Time Server:
Volunteer Lunch Time Servers help with selling meals in The Orangery, which have been made predominantly from donations. This service is offered to staff and visitors, with all of the profits made put directly back into patient care.
