Weldmar Hospicecare is auctioning a number of items on Thursday 6th October at 10am – in an auction hosted by Busby at their Bridport Salerooms
All the items being sold by Weldmar have been donated by Weldmar supporters and include jewellery, watches, vintage clothing, art, some vintage Barbie dolls – and much more.
There is also one very special item in the sale – a signed hat, donated to Weldmar many years ago by Luciano Pavarotti, the Italian operatic tenor who died in 2007.
Hugo Busby, Chief Auctioneer, said ““We are really happy to be supporting this local charity for all the support it provides to people at a time of great need. Weldmar is especially close to my family, as my late father-in-law, Major John Greener, was so closely involved in the conception of Joseph Weld Hospice, Weldmar’s inpatient unit in Dorchester”.
Jon Panton, Weldmar’s Business Fundraising Manager, said “We are very grateful to everyone who has donated such wonderful items for this Auction – and to Busby for hosting it for us. It is only with the support of the local community and businesses that Weldmar staff are able to be here to provide our outstanding services to local people at a time when they need us most”.
The Auction at Busby’s Bridport Salerooms will begin at 10am – and can be found at The Old Hemp Store, North Mills, Bridport, DT6 3BE.
