Weldmar continues to provide Bereavement Support services through Covid-19

Face to face meetings will make way for phone calls and new technology

Weldmar Hospicecare is continuing to provide Bereavement Support services to those who need it in Dorset, throughout the Covid-19 lockdown.

The offer of support will be maintained for those who have lost loved ones in Weldmar’s care.

Whilst we cannot provide face to face discussions or group support due to social distancing requirements, services will carry on via telephone calls, and video links via simple to use technology such as Zoom.

Jane Johnson, Head of Operations, says, “Bereavement Support is an important part of the care we provide but it feels even more important to me, now more than ever, that our Family Support Service continues to be available to support patients and their relatives experiencing loss, grief, worry and distress. We know only too well how having someone to talk to can really help people who feel isolated and alone. Our team of dedicated, compassionate and trained staff can offer you time, care, reassurance and emotional support.”

If you would like our support and you or your relative have been cared for by Weldmar, please do not hesitate to call our administrative support team on 01305 215300, who will be happy to arrange for one of the Family Support Team to make contact with you.
