Weldmar Hospicecare is supporting Weymouth & Portland Pride
Look out for our window displays around Weymouth & Portland
Weldmar Hospicecare provides high quality care and support to over 2,800 people across Dorset each year. We employ over 200 staff and work with over 1,200 volunteers.
As a local charity, care provider and employer, we are committed to Equality and Diversity.
(St Thomas Street, Weymouth town centre)
We strive to treat everybody with equal fairness, regardless of their background or difference and we recognise that we are all different from each other in some way or another. We recognise, value and celebrate that society is made up of people from varied backgrounds in terms of culture, identity, outlook, experience, interests, needs and so on.
(Great George Street, Weymouth town centre)
And most importantly, we ensure that each individual is treated no differently than the next.
We have a dedicated Equality and Diversity group made up of staff and volunteers which continues to monitor and develop our inclusivity throughout the organisation for all our patients, their loved ones, our staff, volunteers and supporters.
We are proud to be an organisation that promotes and encourages equality and diversity across the charity and that is why we are proud to be part of the first Weymouth and Portland Pride event.
Our chain of retail shops in Weymouth will be displaying rainbow flags and bespoke window displays between Monday 22nd and Sunday 28th July and our Day Services building on Greenhill will also become multi-coloured for the week.
(Easton Road, Portland)
We are proud to be here for when people need us most and we are proud to be supporting Weymouth and Portland Pride 2019.
Why not pop along to the 2019 Pride event and show your support too, it would be great to see you there!
