Weldmar Hospicecare shops reopen following second national lockdown
We’re asking you to support your local Weldmar shop in the run up to Christmas
All Weldmar Hospicecare shops and larger outlets open their doors today for the first time since the second national lockdown began on 5th November.
It’s estimated that the loss to the charity’s income is about £250,000, and it’s hoped shoppers will help boost coffers by supporting us throughout December.
Gavin Anderson-Terry, Director of Retail, says “Christmas shopping really begins to ramp up now, even for those of us in the charity retail sector. We find that lots of people come to us for their more unusual gifts, Secret Santa presents, and fashion for Christmas parties and get togethers, so please come and support your local Weldmar shop and see what festive treasures and gifts you can find.”
We are asking visitors to keep to the regular guidelines to ensure a safe environment for shoppers, staff, and volunteers:
- Please do not visit if you are showing coronavirus symptoms
- Please wear a face covering and use the hand sanitiser provided, and observe social distancing
- If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please let a member of our team know
All shops will continue to have one or two set days per week when they will accept donations. Please check the details for your local shop to find out their arrangements and opening times.
