Weldmar shops to hold early donation drop off sessions before re-opening
There’s an opportunity to drop off some of the items you’ve put aside to donate to us
We can’t wait to get our charity shops open again from Monday 12th April.
From Lyme Regis across to Swanage, and from Portland up to Gillingham, our chain of 24 charity shops and larger furniture outlets across Dorset have been closed since the third national lockdown began in early January, meaning a vital source of income to our charity coffers has been cut off.
Each of our shop sites will be accepting donations on Friday 9th April from 10am to 2pm.
The shops themselves will not be open, but donations can be handed over at the door.
Donations will be limited to three boxes or bags per household, and each site may need to stop accepting donations early if their stockroom becomes full, as we are expecting to be very busy.
Gavin Anderson-Terry, Director of Retail, says, “We are really excited to be working on getting our shops ready to reopen. The income our shops provide is a vital source of revenue for our services, which has been greatly missed. Our staff and volunteers are all looking forward to getting back to support our great hospice.”
