Care Quality Commission - CQC

Weldmar’s Make a Will Month

Create or update your Will with a significant saving on the regular cost.

Throughout this October, local solicitors have generously agreed to offer a limited number of Will writing appointments free of charge and instead ask that you donate to Weldmar Hospicecare.

The appointment is to make a simple basic Will. It does not include details regarding, for example, tax planning, care home fees planning, trusts nor foreign assets, which could be completed but you would be charged as a separate fee.

Helping future generations

Once you have planned financially for family and friends, would you consider leaving a gift to Weldmar Hospicecare? This would cost you nothing in your lifetime and would help to secure high quality end of life care to patients and their loved ones for generations to come.

It is entirely up to you what you leave, whether it is a specified amount or a percentage of your estate. Please speak to your Solicitor for more information on this. One out of every three of our patients are cared for by these thoughtful gifts. Without the support of gifts in Wills, we would not be able to care for over 420 patients each and every year.

You will be remembered for helping Weldmar Hospicecare continue our outstanding and vital work across the county.

Before you attend your appointment, there’s a few important things you need.

To help make your appointment as smooth as possible, there is a little it of preparation work you can do in advance of your appointment:

A donation in your Will is more than a financial contribution. It provides care, comfort and support, provided with dignity and respect. Your gift will enable us to continue our high quality care for generations to come. There is no greater gift than allowing someone to receive end of life care because of your donation.

Whether you decide to leave a small percentage of your estate to Weldmar Hospicecare or a specific sum, you can be proud that you have helped to fund our care, ensuring that we continue to be here for everyone who needs us most. Your solicitor will be able to help answer any questions that you might have about this process.

If you would like to find out more about how your donation would make a difference, please contact Sarah Balchin at Weldmar Hospicecare on 01305 261800 or email Sarah here. We can arrange to send you a virtual tour of our Inpatient Unit and talk through our services with you, should that help.
